Excellent print ads for Sandisk

It seems that the recent trend towards minimalist poster designs continues to spread. Now also larger companies are engaging in this kind of visual communication and the latest print ads for the Micro 16 GB USB Flash Drive by Sandisk are a perfect example. I especially love the one with Elvis. This campaign has been created by Montreal based agency Nolin BBDO.

Support Haiti victims by buying minimalist Hitchcock posters

Last week, Graphic Designer Matt Needle from Cardiff, Wales asked me, if I could help him out. He created a beautiful series of Alfred Hitchcock movie posters, which he sells either individually or as a set of six. For all remaining Hitchcock prints in stock, he wants to donate 50% of all poster sales to Haiti Aid and so far he was able to raise a couple of hundred $. Of course, I agreed to help him spread the word about this brilliant initiative called HITCHCOCK 4 HAITI and therefore, I would like to ask you guys to help Matt sell off his remaining prints for the good cause. Below you can see all 6 prints, but as there are only 15 posters left, you better be quick and head on over to his website and order your copy!

Great minimalist movie poster concepts

After featuring the awesome TV series poster collection of Albert Exergian, here is similar concept – this time the theme is well-known movies and their sequels like e.g. Star Wars or Back to the Future. Especially the latter one is implemented in a very clever way. These posters were created by the guys at SHOOT THE GLASS and they are also selling them on their website.

Hello skateboard by Buddy Carr

Check out this great skateboard design, called Hello. It is a collaboration between California based skateboarder Buddy Carr and New York based graphic designer Antonio Carusone. This edition is strictly limited to 100 skateboards. What always bugs me, whenever I see such awesome skateboard design: how can anyone actually ruin this piece of art by riding it and grinding down some handrails!?! I would just buy one of these in order to put them on my wall. Here is a short description of the board and some more details can be found on Buddy Carr’s website.

“Built around the simple idea that form follows function, Hello is not just another skateboard wrapped in a pretty package. Hello has been well thought out and designed for getting everyday skaters around the local campus, onto the board walk for surf checks and for casual rides at the local skate park. Hello’s smaller deck size allows it to store easily in lockers, under desks or small spaces. It’s softer wheels provide good grip, while also absorbing the bumps along the road. The trucks, with their ultra turning geometry and high rebound urethane bushings, allow for quicker turns, all of which add up to a fun and highly enjoyable ride.”

Robu, lead designer and partner at ACME, a design studio in Bucharest, Romania. He specializes in illustration and lettering, so make sure to check out his website for more of his work.

Flora Fauna prints by Josh Brill

What you can see here is a series of prints called Fauna Flora by artist Josh Brill. Josh is a graduate of the Maine College of Art and has a degree in New Media Design. His work has been exhibited in various museums and exhibitions in North America and you can order some of his prints via his web shop Lumadessa.

Minimal TV series posters by Albert Exergian

What you can see here is a personal project of graphic designer Albert Exergian from Vienna, Austria. It is simply amazing to see, how he accomplished to capture the essence of some popular TV series by using a “simple”, but very characteristic illustration.
